Personal training for beginners in Perth

You don’t have to already know how. That’s what I’m here for.

You don’t need gym experience, a certain level of fitness or to know what exercises to do before you start.

15 minutes on the phone. No pressure. Just a friendly chat.

Starting from the very beginning

With one-on-one Personal Training, we start where you are. I’ll show you what to do, guide you through each exercise and answer your questions along the way.

You just need to show up. We’ll figure out the rest together.

Maybe you’ve never lifted weights before. You’ve never followed a gym program, used much of the equipment or really known where to start.

That’s completely okay.

You don’t need any previous experience to start Personal Training, and there’s no level of fitness you need to reach first. Whether you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond, we simply start with where you are today.

I’ll show you how to use the equipment, guide you through your exercises and explain what we’re doing along the way. As things become more familiar, we gradually build from there.

Everyone has a starting point. This can be yours.

Getting back into the gym after years off

The hardest part can be not knowing

Which exercise do you do? How much weight should you use? How many reps? Is your technique right? And is what you’re feeling during an exercise normal?

That’s a lot to think about when you’re just getting started.

And you’re not expected to already know any of it. That’s what I’m here for.

With one-on-one Personal Training, I’ll guide you through your session, show you how to use the equipment and help you understand what you’re doing and why.

You can ask questions, as many as you need to. And as we keep training together, things that once felt unfamiliar will gradually start to feel more natural.

You don’t need to know how to train before you start. We learn and build your confidence along the way.

What the first month actually looks like

Everyone starts somewhere different, so your first few weeks won’t look exactly the same as someone else’s.

At the beginning, we spend time getting familiar with the movements, equipment and exercises in your program. We start with a weight that feels right for you, and I’ll guide you through your technique so you can start building confidence.

As the weeks go on, things start to feel more familiar. You might remember how to set up an exercise without me reminding you, feel more comfortable using the equipment, or notice that something feels a little easier than it did when you started.

And as you get stronger and more confident, we gradually progress your training from there.

There’s no one to keep up with and no expectation of where you should be by week four. We start where you are and celebrate the Life & Health Wins along the way.

What you’ll notice

At first, the biggest changes might simply be feeling more comfortable with what you’re doing.

You start recognising the equipment. You remember how to set up an exercise. You understand why you’re doing it. And little by little, you need less guidance from me because you’re starting to trust yourself.

Then you might notice things outside the gym too. Something feels easier. You feel stronger. You have a little more confidence in what your body can do.

Those are your Life & Health Wins.

What training with me looks like

Your Personal Training sessions are 45 minutes, one-on-one at PrimeFit in Osborne Park, in a small, friendly, community-based gym.

It’s your ME time. We check in with how you’re feeling, and I guide you through your session from start to finish. You don’t need to remember the exercises, know how to use the equipment or worry about what comes next. That’s my job.

Wear something you feel comfortable moving in and bring a water bottle. You don’t need any special gear, a gym membership or a certain level of fitness before you start.

And if you’d rather start with someone you know, I also offer Couples & Friends Personal Training for 2–4 people. You’ll still get personalised coaching and support, while sharing the experience with someone beside you.

Personal training for beginners in Perth, based in Osborne Park

I train out of PrimeFit on Hutton Street in Osborne Park, a small, friendly, community-based gym. It’s easy to get to from Karrinyup, Stirling, Woodlands, Innaloo, Doubleview, Noranda, Dianella and the surrounding northern suburbs.

If you’ve been looking for a Personal Trainer in Perth for beginners, you don’t need any gym experience or a certain level of fitness before you start.

I work with women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, including women who are completely new to strength training or haven’t exercised in a long time. We start where you are, at your own pace, and build your strength and confidence from there.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing before you come in. That’s what I’m here for.

Where to start

A free 15-minute Welcome Call.

You don’t need to prepare anything or know what to ask. It’s simply a chance for us to have a chat.

Tell me a little about yourself, where you’re at and what you’d like to be able to do. I’ll answer any questions you have, explain how I work, and we can see whether we’re the right fit for each other.

No pressure. Just a friendly chat to get you started.

Questions women ask me

I’ve genuinely never exercised. Is that a problem?

Not at all. You don’t need any previous exercise or gym experience to start with me. We’ll start with where you are, and I’ll guide you through everything along the way. You don’t need to know anything before you walk through the door.

How fit do I need to be before I start?

There’s no level of fitness you need to reach before you start Personal Training. Wherever you are right now is our starting point, and we build your strength and confidence from there.

What if I do it wrong?

That’s what I’m there for. I’ll show you how to do each exercise, help you with your technique and answer your questions as we go. You’re learning. You’re not expected to get everything right the first time.

Will I be sore?

You might feel some muscle soreness when you start doing something new, but everyone responds differently. We’ll start at a level that feels right for you and gradually build from there. The goal isn’t to leave you feeling completely wiped out. It’s to help you keep coming back and building consistency.

How long until I notice anything?

Everyone progresses differently, so there isn’t one timeline I can promise you. You might start noticing little changes in everyday life, feel more comfortable with your exercises or realise you’re getting stronger. Those little changes are your Life & Health Wins, and we’ll celebrate them along the way.

Do I need to join the gym?

No. You don’t need a gym membership to train with me. You simply come to PrimeFit for your Personal Training sessions. If you’d also like to train independently between sessions, you can access 24/7 PrimeFit membership at my special client rate.

What if I hate it?

Then tell me. Seriously, I want to know how you’re feeling about your training. There are lots of ways we can move and build strength, and part of working together is finding what works for you. You don’t have to love every exercise, but I do want your training to feel like something that fits into your life.

Wherever you’re starting from, there’s a way forward that works for you.
